Poor Spellers UNTIE!!

Today I am hooking up with One2Try for the Friday Follow. I hope you will go over there and join in the fun as well.

I ride my bike through this lovely trail.

Along the way there is this quaint little bridge or boardwalk. I like it. I like the sound it makes when my bike tires go over it.

I like this sign at the entrance to the bridge.

The last couple of times I have ridden this bike trail the sign has been vandalized to read: NO HOR*ES ON THE BOARDWALK. Every time I pass the sign I laugh and I think about the post I would write about how this cracks me up.

1. First there is the spelling. Vandals should carry a dictionary. Really they are giving each other a bad name. HORES. Ha!

2. Secondly I just get this mental picture of Ladies of the Night standing on either side of the bridge propositioning passers by. "Hey Baby, You looking for a good time? On this side of the bridge." Oh. I kill me.

So........Saturday I loaded up Shaye Baby with the intention of walking the bike path to the sign to snap a picture of it for my blog. (See how dedicated I am to bringing you humorous material?)

We walked.

And we walked.
Shaye Baby fell asleep.

We walked some more.
I suddenly remembered why this is a BIKE TRAIL.
Finally after forever we got to the sign.

The county had fixed it.

I called The Coach and I whined. He laughed.

I threatened to RIDE back to the bridge with a Sharpie marker. He vetoed the idea. (I was tired anyway.)

Wow. Porn star moms and prostitutes. What is this blog coming to? Next week I will write about rainbows and unicorns. Really.

How about you? Take a picture of the favorite sign you pass by. (Misspelling vandals or not.) Tell me if you are going to write about it in your blog and I will stop by and read it.

PS. I am also linking up to Blog Hop Friday at My New Life as Mom.
And...Follow Me Fridays at Trendy Treehouse.
I hope you will stop by.

  3. When I lived in Atlanta there was a billboard with a big egg and tons of sperm headed towards it. The caption was, "Don't like the odds? Don't have sex." It's always been one of my favs. Of course, that was before my son could read and would want to know what it meant :)

  10. LOL Thanks for the laugh :D It looks like a great trail. (even with the vandals)

Thanks for stopping by my blog. As for your question a Guinea pig is a great choice for a 9 year old. They are the least likely of all the small animals to bite, they love attention and will even "talk" to you when you come in the room. They are not very smelly (unless you wait too long to clean up ;) ) and very easy to clean up after. Just take them out, dump the old bedding, wipe down with damp wash cloth, dry and put in fresh bedding. They can get lonely so if they are going to be by themselves for a while then get two so they will always have company. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. :D

ps sorry this was so long ;)
