He Wears Many Hats

Go on over to Twee Poppets and join Tuesday Tag Along. Have some fun and read some good blogs.

The Coach and I headed over to Sweet Aunt's place the other day to go fishing. On the way I got to looking around and realized a couple things. First I realized my husband drives boringly. No swerving, no cussing. You never hear the screeching of tires and the blaring of horns while he is driving. You never see flashing lights. I wonder why that is.

More importantly though than taking note of his defensive driving. I noticed he has a lot of hats in his truck.

Here is a nice one.

This one isn't so good. It's what happens though when you marry a nice Midwestern boy.

Here is another.
But there is not one.

Not two.

But THREE of the exact same hat. Identical even.

So I had to ask, "Why do you have three of the exact same hat." I thought maybe the answer would be interesting and I could blog about it. It wasn't. I am blogging about it anyway.
One is for games. One was for practice, but it got sweaty and shrunk in the sun causing The Coach to have a headache. (Silly me. I thought it was this cruddy season that was causing the headache.)

So that is five total hats in one truck.
Well six if you count this little dude.

(I'll have to tell you the story one day of how we almost had to break off our engagement when the Astros and the Cardinals were facing off in the playoffs. Well, I guess I just did tell you.)

All the hats seem to make him happy though and that's all that matters.

Tayte is also happy. He is excited to be going fishing with his cousins.

Hmmmm. I wonder what he plans to use as bait.

Ok. Let me have them. What strange quirks have you observed in your husbands?

And an apology. I am having a hard time commenting on other blogs. Some days this results in a complete failure to comment and other days apparently it results in me copying the same darn comment numerous times. (I even put the same comment twice on my own blog yesterday and now I can't get it off.) If anyone can give me a hint on how to make the comments work when I am signed into Google I would appreciate it. And. Sorry.

  7. He was attempting to even out his tan..um burn. I had pointed out to him that his head was white on top and red on bottom.

  9. Hi Heather,

Thanks for stopping by from TTA. I've been meeting so many teachers lately (I'm one). Thanks for the French words, that's cute. I appreciate it. Love those pictures. My husband collects baseball caps but never wears them. Once in a while when he's not looking I give one away to a nice student LOL. I'm a new follower! :)

  11. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I personally feel that one cannot have too many baseball hats but I think I'm in the minority in my household.
