Getting to Know You

I am joining MannLand5 for her Getting to Know You Sunday Blog Hop.

It's easy. You just copy these questions and answer them and go to her blog an link up.

The questions..

1. The most expensive thing hanging in my closet is.....?
My wedding dress. Both of them. The first one was a HUGE Princess Di type dress and second a more sedate column dress.

2. Have you ever played a team sport?
Yes. I played softball. Badly. I was a decent diver and gymnast as a kid. Those are technically team sports, but really they aren't, because if you do it badly there really is no way to blame someone else...which is the defining characteristic of a TEAM sport.

3. If you were a bug, what kind would you be?
After this weekend...........Dung Beetle. ( I have had to change alot of diapers. Thanks Shaye Baby.)

4. Where on your body is the worst place to get sunburned? (thanks Ian)
The tops of the feet.

5. Are you happy?
Yes. Very much so. I am very blessed to have wonderful family and friends. Even when I am griping I am generally pretty happy.

6. People are always abbreviating..are there any abbreviations that make your skin crawl when people use them? I hate it when people say the abbreviation WWI. It is less syllables to just say World War I. (Recently I assigned an essay and one of my students did take the time to write the event out. Unfortunately he did it like this, "War War I". Poor kid.)

7. Do you love where you live..or could you live anywhere?
I love where we live even though there are seven of us in a three bedroom house. We are moving this summer about ten miles west. I am looking forward to it, but I am also scared.

8. What, if any, extreme measures do you go to to keep yourself from overeating when you're full?
If the food is delicious enough to keep eating even though I am full. I do!

That was fun. You give it a try.
Leave me a comment an let me know you joined so I can go check it out.

  2. The War War I cracked me up...as a teacher (prior to my job as Mom to Crazies), I can totally relate to answer like this! You have so many people under one roof!!! I'd be losing my mind and searching for a little corner to hide in! I dread moving (although I was informed this morning that we're doing it next Fall).
