So many kids, I don't know what to do.

New Pastime

New house.
New hobbies.

This is what has Shaye most fascinated.

The tub. It has different handles than our last house.

She can turn it on.

A constant source of amusement for her.

To add to the fun she can throw in my running shoes and then turn it on.

The other day she managed to abscond with my phone while some other kid distracted me by throwing a guinea pig. Then she put the phone in the tub. And then she turned the water on.

Diabolical, that baby.

Her next favorite thing is to rearrange my belts.

I give up.

On a serious note though I am afraid she is going to burn herself. Does anyone know of a child proofing product for these kinds of faucets?

Leave me alone. I am working here!!

(Can you go back to the first two pictures and identify the object I unsuccesfully tried to crop from the image? There is a big ATTABOY in store for you if you can.)

  1. bahahahah a BRA!

Not sure if this works for you guys considering how your tub is, but the old owners of our house switched the faucets (hot and cold are reversed) since thats what their kid could reach

  4. No advice really. Our boys never had much interest in playing with the tub faucet (now the sink faucet is a totally different story). I'm sure there's something out there though.

As for the bra (hee hee), at least you attempted to crop it out. Unlike those horrifying photos I always see one Lamebook!

  6. I dont know of any guards for the tub, but you could turn the hot water heater down so that the water coming out isn't too hot.

  9. We've just always made sure our temp is low. We hated going to grandmas when the water would always burn us. So that would be my suggestion. Just turn down the thermometer.
    Have a great weekend.

  11. I can't find one for our faucets, so I just put a baby proof cover on the doorknob and keep her out of the whole bathroom. The bonus is that she can't get in when I go pee. She does stand at the door, pounding and screaming, though.

  12. Like the suggestion of the doorknob baby proof cover. As soon as I started reading your post, the hot water issue came to mind...I would worry about burns right away! But, she is a DOLL!!!! I can see where a toddler would think that was a whole ton of fun! Power trip 101!!!!
