So many kids, I don't know what to do.

Goals are Important

One of my goals this summer was to branch out and hit new playgrounds. It's an easy and enjoyable goal. So far we have gone to two new playgrounds.

I especially like the one we went to today because it was connected to one of those DIY car cleaning stations. So while I was busy sucking up copious amounts of french fries and possibly a whole Pop Tart with the coin operated vacuum the kids played on the playground.

I went over there after I was done and my kids proceeded to embarass me in front of several very nice families I have never seen before and with any luck for them will never see again.

1. Tayte was screaming. Just in general. For instance his brother was in the way on the slide. And maybe at 6 foot tall and 220 pounds Ty should not be playing on the equipment, but still. I don't think screaming like slutty slasher movie victim was the answer.

Maybe I should have stopped taking pictures and intervened with some discipline.

2. Then I asked Tan Man to take a picture of Ty and me, so of course Saige had to start wailing about the unfairness in the world and why she NEVER EVER gets to take a picture and also no one loves her and she never gets to sit in the front.

Here is Ty and me. Every time he went down he would bump the tire and I fly up in the air. It is way more dangerous than it looks.

3. By then people were staring, but just to give THEM material for their blogs Tanner and Saige had to also fight over who got to push Shaye in the swing. Ty feeling left out threatened to stab both of them with a fork.
Tanner won.

I considered hopping in my freshly vacummed "Womb on Wheels" and making a quick escape. But some of those parents looked fairly competent and probably would have managed to call CPS without their kid pulling a sibling's hair out or anything while they were on the phone.
This is Ty considering joining me in the escape.

Ok. I have to go now and start writing my parenting blog. First post - How in Insure Harmony Among Offspring.

She always cheers right up when I tell her I will put her on my blog.

  2. Haha! I too love that "giving them material for their blogs!"
Yesterday my 4-year-old was running around at a splash park with her friend, and I got them to slow down a little for a picture. "Mom, are you going to Facebook that?" she wanted to know. "Or put it on your blog thing?"
yep. :) great pics by the way!
