So many kids, I don't know what to do.

Interview

Last night I was lying in bed with The Coach and decided to interview him. I said, "Hey. I have nothing to blog about tomorrow so I am going to interview you."

He could just barely contain his excitement let me tell you.

Me: What is your favorite baseball team?

The Coach: The Cardinals, Heather. (He said "Heather" like he doesb when he is exasperated with me.)

*** I was just checking. Maybe he had finally come to his senses and decided to root for a cellar team, like perhaps the Astros - just as an example.

Me: What is your favorite baseball play?

TC: I like the sac bunt. (For those of you who do not know a sacrifice bunt is where the batter bunts the ball knowing it is unlikely he will make it to first, but it advances the runner to the next base, thus closer to actually scoring a run - it is very important you say run, not point.)

Me: Who do you think does the best sac bunt.
TC: Heather that is a stupid question.
Me: Well excuse me if you think you can do better. I am not Barbara Damn Walters here.
TC: Deep sigh.

Me. What is your favorite word in the English language?

TC:
TC:
TC:

You should know at this point The Coach said many words that are not PG13. He laughed as I exclaimed they were not appropriate blog material. Finally he settled on a word.

TC: Threeve.

A combination of the numbers three and five. He went on

TC: Febutober, Eleventeen

The next thing I knew I was being awakened to a tap on the shoulder and The Coach asking me, "Is this interview over?"

Yes. Yes it is. Doesn't Barbara Walters often fall asleep during interviews?

Ok. I am sorry for two dialogue posts in a row. I will find something more interesting to blog about tomorrow even if I have to make it up!! Wait patiently for that.

I am acutally going to link this crappy post up in order to make other bloggers feel better about their material. See...it is a kindness really. Go check it out!! No. Really. Go!! There is nothing to see here.

It's good idea to interview somebody at home, I get into writer's block sometimes.. maybe I can try this, for fun.

  3. This is great, actually! My husband has a few sterotypes about bloggers ...I'd be too embarrassed to even tell you what they are, lol...so I can relate to the um...enthusiasm! But I tell James he gives me plenty of material to write about just by being him. lol

  7. Hilarious! I hate to even think what kind of answers my hubby would give me if I tried this ;)

I already follow you...just popping in to say hello!

  8. Okay, Heather! That was hysterical! I literally laughed out loud! And I'm already following you ... and attempting to comment faitfully so you will know you are adored! :)

I wrote a post about my hubby today and called and suggested he read it. I guess he was expecting idol worship or something because when I told him what it was actually about his response was "Gee thanks, Beth!"

I bet he and Coach are twins in some alternate universe!

  10. Hilarious! I also love how you teach your kids to holler for Daddy in the middle of the night. My strategy was to breast feed for the first 2 years. Once they were weaned, I never heard a thing at night for the next 8 years. Ah, sleep. It's a good thing. Rosemary

  11. This is adorable! And why didn't I teach my kids Daddy first! So true it is that it is wonderful to know they think of you in the middle of the night - but - it is the middle of the night and a full night's sleep sounds much better.
