Getting to Know You

Getting to know all about you.................................
Joining in with MannLand 5 for getting to know you Sunday.

1. Have you ever snooped around someone else's house?

Not since I was a teenager at my folks house. I think I was looking then for papers that would prove one or both of my brothers were adopted. No luck.

2. Can guys and girls be friends.

I think so. I had guy friends growing up. I have guy friends at work. We don't hang out or anything though.

3. Yes. Ha ha Mom! :)

4. Have you ever stolen anything?

Yes.

I don't want to implicate my accomplice, but once I (with the help of a parent) stole the counted cross stich directions out of a kit. I already bought the kit and lost the directions. (I was half way done with the project. Don't judge me! )

5. Would you rather talk on the phone or text.

Depends who it is. I like to shoot the breeze with a few people, but I am busy. So with some people I just need the facts and texting is better.

6. Memorial Day plans?

Saigie's birthday today. She has girls spending the night. Tomorrow over to my folks for cheeseburgers. Yum.

7. What do you to to relax?

Go for a walk. Read in the bathtub with a glass of wine. Watch t.v.

8. Do you do anything to honor those who have died fighting for our freedom?

No. I should.

A veteran gave me and all the kids a red poppy at Academy yesterday. His hat (cover) said WWII. I shook his hand and said thank you. I would have liked to talk to him more, but I was tearing up and my whole passel of kids was totally blocking the doors.

For some getting to know you fun head on over to MannLand5.

Have a great weekend!!

  1. We have this converted antique dresser/sink thing in our guest bathroom. It has drawers in it, that we've now nailed shut since we had to cut the bottom of the drawers out to accommodate the sink. One of the drawers has come loose and if you try to open it, it just drops out of the dresser and it is extremely difficult to get back in. I've asked my husband to fix it, because he's the only one who can get it back in. He refuses because he says he wants to see who's snooping. I've come to the conclusion that everyone does because it's always hanging open when people leave the bathroom.

  2. Stealing the directions kinda amazes me. Not because I'm judging but because there would be a lot of plastic and paper crinkling and cutting and opening and you're brave!

  4. I always got along better with guys growing up. I don't know why, maybe I thought girls were just too catty. Anyway, my very best friend in the world was a boy and at the tender age of 3, our two big sisters married us. Sigh... He grew up and became a policeman, got married (this time for real) and lived across the street from my parents till they moved down to AR. and down the street from us. I can relate better to boys, I think, don't have to make small talk!
