Cake and a Winner

I made this cake last night. It was angel food cake stuff with orange sherbert and covered in Cool Whip. Super easy and a big hit. A word of warning though. Do not store left overs in the fridge. When you wake up in the morning it will look like this and there will be sticky sherbet mess all over your fridge. Don't ask me how I know.

Then we played Monopoly and..........

I am a winner! Maybe weiner!

Saige and I won at Monopoly last night.

It is actually a new Monopoly City.

It a little more exciting than regular Monopoly because you can built before you have all three of the same color. So you get to skip that part where you have to sell one of your children to another player to get a monopoly.

See how excited the boys are.

Also there are auctions, and timers and this fun button to mash that makes noises.

But best of all there is a Chance card that reads you can take any property from another person including whatever buildings they have on it. Boardwalk here I come. Except it is not called Boardwalk it is Diamond City, which really was my only problem with the game. They had to change the properties to cities instead of names.

Here is my husband after I took his "Boardwalk" with several high rise apartments on it. The pictures has been censored in an effort to keep my blog PG.
It was a picture of my husband making a gesture behind a piece of paper that read, CENSORED. The picture has disappeared and The Coach is going to be very upset his cleverness wasn't witnessed.

He was still bitter about the loss this morning.
Saige was still happy!
Enjoy the hops while I go get ready for Shaye Baby's first birthday party we are having tomorrow!

  2. Sounds like a fun night. I can't play monopoly myself...it's just to long of a game. Kicking the hubs butt at any game though is priceless.
